SUIS trés déçu et nous sommes beaucoup par cet AVATAR, qui portes bien son nom, que vient faire notre RIPLEY, dans cette mascarade ???.
Juste une étoile pour le nom de JAMES CAMERON…. Dommage, il a tout loupé, pas crédible pour un sou , mon avis et celui de beaucoup de mes amis !!!!

Comme cela l’a déjà été dit pour Star Wars, il y a un avant AVATAR et un après.
Cameron est un précurseur, ça ne fait plus de doute et bien sur qu’on peut trouver à redire, personne n’est parfait et il y aura toujours des commentaires plus ou moins bon, mais il faut bien reconnaitre qu’on avait jamais vu ça !
Reste à savoir comment la 3D ressortira sur bluray (mauvaise expérience avec voyage au centre de la terre 3D)…

On passe un bon moment: c’est visible en famille sauf pour les plus jeunes. Même en le voyant en 2D le spectacle est sympa.
L’idée de départ (commander un avatar réel) est très bien trouvée.
Coté négatif: La dernière partie du film est mal foutue car elle dure trop longtemps. C’est un peu mièvre,un peu gnan-gnan et on connait par coeur ce discours sur la nature.
J’oubliais, chose non étrange, c’est très américain.
Un mot sur les effets spéciaux: rien à y redire mais on est complètement blasé (peut être que le 3D apporte un peu plus); King Kong en 2005 m’a plus impressionné.

A grand renfort d’effets spéciaux en 3D, James Cameron réussit a battre le record d’entrées en salle de son précédent Titanic, bel exploit s’il en est, mais, plus que tout, cet Avatar nous démontre, si besoin était, qu’une fois de plus quand la grosse machine hollywoodienne s’empare d’un des chef d’œuvre de la bande dessinée européenne, le résultat est rarement concluant.
Certes ils sont bleus mais il semblerait que Cameron se soit quelque peu égaré en cours de route quand il s’est attaque à cette adaptation de l’œuvre de feu Peyo. On reconnaît bien le Cracoukas, quelque peu jurrasikparkisé, les petits (?) hommes bleus habitent bien dans une foret enchantée mais, et c’est la que le bas blesse, nos amis les schtroumpfs se sont transformes en géants! Un comble! Gargamel est méconnaissable sous les traits d’un quadra bodybuildé et bronze loin du sorcier un peu foufou de notre jeunesse.
Si vous ajoutez a cela qu’au moment de tourner ce film Cameron a du se perdre dans ses papiers et est parti avec le scenario de Danse Avec les Loups sous le bras, vous comprendrez aisément que le résultat soit un peu confus et qu’on ait un peu de mal à entrer dans cette (très/trop ?) longue nouvelle aventure des petits êtres bleus qui sont toujours heureux.

Avatar est l’exemple même de l’habituel film américain à gros budget. On mise tout sur les effets spéciaux, sur la technique mais on oublie qu’un film c’est AVANT TOUT une histoire. Et celle de Avatar est vue et re re revue. Il s’agit tout simplement de Pocahontas/danse avec les loups/le Dernier Samourai et j’en passe mais dans l’espace…C’est bourré de clichés (les méchants sont « très méchants », les gentils « très gentils », le bon vieux colonel américain qui n’est pas content…)…Bref, il suffit de beaucoup de marketing et de 3D pseudo révolutionnnaire et hop, les gens ressortent en criant au génie…alors qu’au final, ça ne vaut mieux que les 25 blockbusters au scénario quasi inexistant qui sortent chaque année…Transformers 2 et 2012 sont donc aussi des chef d’oeuvre alors puisque c’est bien fait…Au final, il s’agit d’un bon divertissement mais de là à crier au chef d’oeuvre, il ne faut quand même pas abuser. Beaucoup de films ont proposé la même histoire bien avant Avatar. C’est un blockbuster américain, ça s’arrête là.
